S/4 Senior Basis Consultant (SAP)

What you will do

• Lead the technical architecture, installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA databases, and related cloud and on-premise components.
• Manage performance tuning, high availability and disaster recovery, lifecycle upgrades, and system copies across complex landscapes.
• Collaborate with AWS, Azure, and GCP providers, functional leads, and security teams to implement infrastructure guardrails and cybersecurity compliance.
• Drive migration strategies, system monitoring, root-cause analysis, and cutover activities for critical SAP Basis issues.
• Oversee transport management, kernel upgrades, SAP Solution Manager, Cloud ALM, and patch management.
• Mentor junior Basis engineers and promote automation across SAP platform operations.

Requirements

• Extensive SAP Basis administration experience with proven SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA database administration expertise.
• Strong experience executing SAP OS/DB migrations, S/4HANA upgrades, and managing public or private cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Deep expertise in system performance monitoring, memory management, HANA backup and restore, and disaster recovery architectures.
• In-depth understanding of SAP security, authorisations, single sign-on, and Solution Manager or Cloud ALM setup.
• Strong leadership and communication skills focused on quality operational outcomes and technical team excellence.

Nice to have

• SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Technology Associate in SAP HANA or S/4HANA System Administration.
• Hyperscaler cloud architecture certifications.
