HPC and CAE Owner

Location: Cambridge, UK or Lausanne, Switzerland; hybrid model with 40% remote work and flexible hours.

What you will do

• Own internal CAD and CAE tools, licences, and compute infrastructure.
• Improve CAD/CAE setups, including software, configuration, access, and compute resources, in collaboration with product and vertical engineers.
• Script, automate, and troubleshoot environments to keep them reproducible and identify issues before they disrupt teams.
• Manage shared compute and licence resources, vendor relationships, and spending.
• Monitor utilization, wait times, and cost per run, and share performance insights with engineering teams.

Requirements

• Experience at an OEM, Tier 1 supplier, CAE provider, or cloud provider.
• Practical insight into engineering workflows in automotive, aerospace, or electronics.
• Hands-on CAE experience with CFD and/or FEA.
• Practical understanding of HPC for simulation workloads.
• Ability to design how CAD, PLM, CAE, and compute systems fit together while drawing on domain experts for individual tools.
• Pragmatic collaboration and problem-solving skills, with a focus on simplifying processes and removing barriers.
• Ability to work independently with a product mindset: choosing what to build or reuse, enabling adoption, and owning deployment, operation, and improvement.
