Senior Network Administrator (Palo Alto / Aruba)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom; on-site. Active UK SC clearance is required, with DV preferred, or eligibility to obtain SC.

Salary: £70,000–£85,000 base compensation per year, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure networks across classified and unclassified environments.
• Operate Palo Alto firewalls, including PAN-OS, Panorama, and GlobalProtect, plus Aruba switching, wireless, and ClearPass.
• Implement network segmentation, zero-trust controls, and policy enforcement.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and support incident response.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and support RMF/STIG compliance and system accreditation through ATO.

Requirements

• 8+ years of network administration experience in enterprise or DoD environments.
• Hands-on Palo Alto experience with NGFW, Panorama, VPNs, and threat prevention.
• Hands-on Aruba experience with switching, wireless, and ClearPass NAC.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Experience in classified environments, including SIPR/NIPR or equivalent.
• Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, and STIGs.
• Active UK SC clearance, with DV preferred, or eligibility to obtain SC.

Nice to have

• PCNSE or higher.
• Aruba certifications such as ACMP or ACDX.
• Network automation experience with Python, Ansible, or APIs.
• Cloud networking experience with AWS GovCloud or Azure Government.
• Zero Trust, SASE, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, or similar experience.
• High-availability or mission-critical systems background.
• Defence contractor or rapid-deployment experience.
