Senior IT Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: London, hybrid working with typically 2–3 days in the office

Salary: £55,000–£65,000 GBP annually

What you will do

• Own identity, access, SaaS administration, SSO, SCIM provisioning, least-privilege controls, and quarterly access reviews.
• Manage a macOS fleet through MDM, including zero-touch enrolment, configuration, patching, compliance, self-service, remote lock and wipe.
• Run joiner, mover and leaver processes end to end for UK and US colleagues, automating hardware, account and access changes against agreed SLAs.
• Operate IT support, hardware, AV, meeting rooms, office technology, self-service documentation and root-cause improvements.
• Implement IT security controls, respond to phishing and IT-side incidents, review tools and integrations, and maintain audit evidence for SOC 2, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Automate IT operations, administer approved AI tools, build AI-assisted workflows, establish practical AI guardrails, and help shape the IT roadmap.

Requirements

• 4+ years in IT operations or systems administration, including at least 2 years in an engineering-led role at a SaaS or similar fast-growing company.
• Deep hands-on administration of a cloud identity provider and productivity suite, including identities, groups, application access and security settings.
• Strong experience managing a macOS fleet with an MDM platform, including profiles, policies, scripting and zero-touch enrolment.
• Experience implementing SSO using SAML/OIDC and SCIM provisioning across a SaaS estate.
• Experience automating joiner, mover and leaver processes and administrative work.
• Hands-on experience rolling out and administering business AI tools and using AI or workflow automation to improve IT operations.
• Scripting ability in at least one language such as Bash, Python or JavaScript, plus comfort working with REST APIs.
• Strong security mindset covering least privilege, phishing and credential risk, browser and extension risk, and mapping IT controls to audit evidence.
