Technical Program Manager, Capacity Analytics & Tooling (AI Infrastructure)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; hybrid work with 3 days in the office per week. Relocation assistance is offered to new employees.

Salary: $207K–$285K plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the strategy, roadmap, requirements, success measures, delivery, adoption, and ongoing improvement of supply and demand planning tools.
• Build workflows for demand intake, forecasting, supply tracking, scenario analysis, allocation planning, and capacity tradeoff analysis.
• Partner with engineering and data teams on ingestion, transformation, storage, delivery, data models, validation, reconciliation, and traceability.
• Advance forecasting, scenario planning, optimization, and metrics for data quality, forecast performance, planning speed, utilization, availability, and efficiency.
• Support capacity planning across AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI, and other providers, accounting for resource types, regions, availability, commitments, and deployment constraints.
• Lead dependencies, migrations, risks, releases, adoption, documentation, training, and alignment across data, infrastructure, planning, Finance, Accounting, Research, and leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years leading technical programs or products in data platforms, infrastructure, capacity planning, or a related field, with a record of delivering relied-upon systems.
• Experience owning an internal product or platform roadmap and translating complex operational needs into adopted requirements, priorities, and releases.
• Direct experience with capacity planning, demand forecasting, supply planning, allocations, resource constraints, utilization, performance, availability, and cost.
• Understanding of modern data infrastructure, including ingestion, transformation, batch and streaming processing, and analytical storage; experience with Fivetran, dbt, Spark, Kafka, or comparable systems.
• Practical experience with data modeling, cleaning, validation, and reconciliation, using SQL and Python or similar tools to investigate discrepancies and prototype analyses.
• Experience applying quantitative methods to forecasting, scenario analysis, or optimization, including assessing assumptions, uncertainty, forecast performance, and analytical limitations.
• Understanding of compute, storage, networking, and accelerator capacity, performance, and cost characteristics across multiple cloud environments.
• Ability to lead complex programs with technical dependencies and communicate tradeoffs to engineers, researchers, finance partners, and leaders.
• Resourcefulness in ambiguous environments, sound product judgment, and thoughtful interest in the impacts of AGI.
