Senior Public Relations Manager, Financial Communications

Location: Hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area; must be based in San Francisco and work from the San Francisco office three full days per week, with the remaining days remote. Availability during agreed working hours and sufficient overlap with the relevant team’s time zone are expected.

Base salary: $180,000–$210,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility and equity.

What you will do

• Develop communications strategies covering corporate strategy, investment thesis, competitive positioning, growth, and market opportunity.
• Build relationships with business and financial press, generate coverage opportunities, and manage day-to-day media relations.
• Translate investor and business priorities into clear external narratives and messaging.
• Create executive media and positioning opportunities, including briefings, talking points, Q&As, prepared remarks, and amplification plans.
• Partner with Investor Relations, Corp Dev, Communications, Legal, and executive leadership on financial and corporate announcements.
• Advise on sensitive financial stories, leaks, fast-moving press inquiries, and other high-stakes media situations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in corporate communications, financial communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS or technology company.
• Previous experience at a leading financial or corporate communications agency.
• Strong experience working directly with business and financial press, including trusted reporter relationships.
• Experience developing corporate or financial narratives and translating complex business topics into clear external messaging.
• In-house technology company experience, ideally with exposure to a publicly traded company or similarly sophisticated financial communications environment.
• Experience supporting executives in high-stakes media or external engagements.
• Strong judgment in sensitive or fast-moving company news situations.
• Excellent writing, messaging, verbal communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, including partnership with Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, or executive teams.
• Must be based in San Francisco and comfortable with a highly hands-on, relationship-driven approach to media.
