VP, Communications (AI)

Location: Remote - United States

Base compensation: $340,000–$445,000 USD per year, plus potential performance-based bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and lead a global communications strategy aligned with company OKRs, brand story, and values.
• Oversee media relations, agency partners, executive communications, internal communications, and content including press releases, blogs, and social media.
• Lead crisis communications and reputation management while increasing visibility, share of voice, and thought leadership.
• Build, lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing communications team.
• Direct the Media Access Program and analyst relations strategy, including engagement with Gartner and Forrester.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, and Investor Relations on the financial narrative and communications planning leading up to an IPO.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience leading corporate communications during hypergrowth, transformation, or crisis in a senior leadership role, ideally in technology or SaaS.
• Experience developing global external communications strategies that strengthen visibility, differentiation, and leadership.
• Experience leading a team through an IPO, including media strategy, employee communications, and partnership with Investor Relations and executive leadership.
• Ability to distill complex business concepts into clear narratives and multichannel communications.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to capture executive leadership voices.
• Experience in crisis communications and reputation management.
• Strong leadership, people management, C-suite partnership, and cross-functional relationship-building skills in a fast-paced, hypergrowth environment.
• High emotional intelligence, professionalism, empathy, and respect across audiences and organizational levels.
• Strong understanding of financial services, enterprise technology, and the AI landscape.
