Technical Lead - Financial Consolidation & CPM

Location: Barcelona or Madrid, Spain; hybrid work model with a 100% remote option depending on location.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the financial consolidation team, including recruitment and training initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end implementations of financial consolidation systems and ensure sound technical architecture and delivery.
• Define consolidation projects from scratch by translating business requirements into technical designs.
• Advise clients on financial consolidation processes and design technology-agnostic solutions.
• Manage project stakeholders, expectations, resources, and communication across delivery teams.
• Contribute to commercial proposals, platform selection, client support, and training.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in data consulting, focused on corporate performance management and financial consolidation.
• At least 4 years of experience implementing or managing consolidation platforms, including OneStream, Tagetik, Anaplan, Board, Hyperion, SAP BPC, or SAP Group Reporting.
• Experience leading technical or functional teams, mentoring junior professionals, and supporting team expansion.
• Strong knowledge of legal and management consolidation, including currency translation, intercompany eliminations, cash flow statements, and month-end close.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including communication with technical teams, senior management, and C-suite stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solving skills, including identifying architectural bottlenecks, proposing data solutions, and making strategic decisions.
• Strong client-service and relationship-building skills.
• Fluent English and Spanish are required.
