Cloud / DevOps Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: hirify.global, OGR – Turin, Italy; hybrid work with flexible arrangements that may be negotiated.

Salary: €40,000–€60,000 gross/year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate hirify.global’s private cloud infrastructure, taking ownership of production OpenStack environments.
• Lead the evolution toward container-based environments using Kubernetes, Rancher, and Harvester to enable Container-as-a-Service capabilities.
• Design and manage distributed and software-defined storage for HPC and AI workloads, including high-performance block, object, and file services integrated with GPU clusters.
• Optimize storage performance, data durability, replication, and infrastructure resource utilization for compute-intensive workloads.
• Implement infrastructure automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD practices for reliable and reproducible operations.
• Define operational standards for monitoring, alerting, backup, disaster recovery, incident response, documentation, and engineering-team support.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting OpenStack production environments.
• Proven production experience managing container orchestration environments such as Kubernetes.
• Solid hands-on experience with distributed and software-defined storage systems in HPC or cloud environments.
• Strong Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.
• Experience automating infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD practices.
• Experience operating mission-critical production services with responsibility for uptime, reliability, and incident response.
• Experience integrating cloud environments with GPU/HPC workloads and operating multi-tenant cloud environments.
• Experience with monitoring and observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Experience with security hardening, identity management in private cloud environments, and supporting internal engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rancher or Harvester.
