Senior DevOps Engineer (C++)

Location: Remote from the EU; specifically Estonia, Italy or Spain

What you will do

• Implement new detection and protection features for the antivirus engine.
• Build and maintain user-mode and kernel-mode components.
• Write safe, efficient C++ code running with high privileges on production systems.
• Debug difficult system issues using crash dumps, kernel debuggers and trace tools.
• Collaborate with Research to integrate threat-detection ideas, review code and share knowledge.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development and testing.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional C++ development experience.
• Strong understanding of Windows internals at both user and kernel level.
• Strong debugging skills, including WinDbg and crash dumps.
• Solid understanding and consistent application of SOLID principles and design patterns in a large codebase.
• Experience shipping software that runs with high privileges on production systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with antivirus, EDR or endpoint-security products.
• Knowledge of Windows security features including ELAM, PPL or kernel isolation.
• Experience with driver signing or HLK/WHQL certification.
• Familiarity with threat-detection techniques or malware analysis.
• Knowledge of C# and .NET, including common patterns and best practices.
