Business Analyst (Agile/Public Sector): Defining requirements and designing user-centred digital solutions for public- and private-sector clients with an accent on process modelling, customer journey mapping, and backlog refinement. Focus on analysing stakeholder needs, producing actionable epics and user stories, testing solutions with users, and preparing teams for assurance and quality gates.
Location: Leeds, United Kingdom; hybrid working model with flexible working

What you will do
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Service Designers, Business Users, Architects, and delivery teams to understand client and user needs.
- Refine scope, requirements, priorities, and product backlogs.
- Produce process flows, customer journey maps, user stories, and functional, non-functional, and operational requirements.
- Work with research and design colleagues to test solutions with wider user groups and present options to stakeholders.
- Support assurance and quality gates while delivering on time and within budget.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams and using Agile tools.
- Business analysis experience investigating, assimilating, and analysing different needs, constraints, and problems, with the ability to document outcomes in clear language.
- Experience working within the public sector or central government.
- Analytical, stakeholder management, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with Product Owners on product backlog grooming and producing meaningful epics and stories for technical teams.
- Experience in process modelling, customer journey mapping, and assisting with user testing.
- Experience with BA tools and technologies such as Confluence, Jira, Visio, Mural, or Miro.
- Understanding of service maps and target operating models.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of GDS or DSSS frameworks.
