Lead Business Analyst

Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Lead analysis of complex business problems, opportunities, and business and technology change initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions, challenge assumptions, and translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional and non-functional requirements.
• Prioritise and define backlog items in line with business objectives, customer needs, and measurable outcomes; support release planning and continuous improvement.
• Act as the link between stakeholders and technology teams, supporting business acceptance, solution release, adoption, and organisational change.
• Use data and insight to measure success, analyse processes, and identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, automate, and scale.
• Set business analysis standards, provide guidance and training, and coach and develop Business Analysts while supporting complex, business-critical, or high-risk initiatives.

Requirements

• Extensive Business Analyst experience, including leading analysis on complex business and technology change programmes in agile delivery environments.
• Experience managing, mentoring, or coaching Business Analysts.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, communication, and facilitation skills, including workshop, discovery, and requirements-gathering leadership.
• Expertise in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional and non-functional requirements.
• Experience with process mapping and process improvement, including simplification and automation.
• A data-led approach using metrics and insights to define success and measure outcomes.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product-led delivery.
• Sufficient technical knowledge to work confidently with development teams, including integrations, APIs, and data flows.
• Experience supporting business acceptance, user adoption, and organisational change initiatives, plus a curious mindset and passion for continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Retail or ecommerce experience, ideally in an omnichannel environment.
