Commercial Business Analyst (AI)

Salary: £80,000–£110,000 per annum

What you will do

• Baseline current-state operations across cost, volume, errors, and time to establish evidence for value claims.
• Build quantified business cases, compare realistic and best-case value, and perform sensitivity analysis.
• Model realised value by accounting for adoption, effectiveness, and integration.
• Advise on build-vs-buy decisions and connect solutions to client OKRs and board-level metrics.
• Track benefits through pilots, support go/adjust/stop decisions, and develop reusable value benchmarks.
• Deliver requirements elicitation, process analysis, documentation, and clear written synthesis on established engagements.

Requirements

• Strong business analysis foundation, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, structured interviews, workshops, and written synthesis.
• Experience with business cases and financial modelling, including benefits identification, quantification, and realisation tracking.
• Analytical rigour with imperfect data and the ability to produce defensible numbers with honest confidence bounds.
• Commercial awareness of how consulting engagements are priced, scoped, and protected from drift.
• Confident communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders up to board level.
• Solid AI literacy, including the ability to challenge feasibility claims and understand what drives adoption of AI tools.
• Ability to identify and scope the next commercial opportunity.
