Technical Lead (.NET/Azure)

Location: Liverpool City Centre HQ / Hybrid, with 3 days in the office per week

Salary: £70,000–£85,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary squad delivering high-quality, production-ready software.
• Design and build scalable microservices in .NET and Azure.
• evolve microservice architecture, event-driven integration patterns, clean architecture, and shared engineering tooling.
• Collaborate with frontend developers using React and Next.js, as well as product managers, business analysts, designers, QA, and automation testers.
• Stay hands-on with code, mentor developers, lead technical discussions, and improve engineering standards.
• Build reliable, scalable features that improve product quality, performance, and customer experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading software delivery in a microservice-based environment.
• Strong technical background in .NET and Azure.
• Comfort working across the stack, with deeper expertise in backend systems.
• Experience mentoring and guiding developers in a collaborative, agile environment.
• Product-focused mindset and understanding of trade-offs between delivery speed, scalability, and user experience.
• Excellent communication skills, with clarity and empathy in technical discussions.
• Commitment to clean, maintainable code and continuous improvement.
• Curious and proactive approach to improving how software is built, measured, and delivered.
• Applicants must have at least one year remaining on a Graduate or Post-Study Work visa; visa sponsorship is not available.
