Integrations Engineer (TypeScript/Node.js)

hirify.global is growing its Integrations team, developing connections with ATS and HRIS platforms and expanding its Partner API.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, release, and maintain integrations with third-party ATS and HRIS APIs.
• Harden production integrations by improving error handling, retries, idempotency, and migration from deprecated mechanisms.
• Own Partner API endpoint design, versioning, webhooks, documentation, and sandbox capabilities.
• Create reusable connector and data-mapping layers for new integrations.
• Build internal tooling and observability for Integration Support, and investigate escalated issues.
• Provide technical feasibility input to Product and Partnerships, review code, set testing standards, and occasionally contribute to Vue/Nuxt integration settings screens.

Requirements

• Production experience building and maintaining code-based integrations with third-party APIs that are not under your control.
• Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous integrations, webhooks, polling, and retry strategies.
• Production experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth2, pagination, rate limits, retries, and idempotency.
• Experience mapping data between JSON, XML, and SOAP.
• Proficiency with Jest and contract and integration testing using mocks.
