Senior .NET Developer (.NET/Azure): Developing and modernising business-critical client applications through requirements, coding, testing, deployment, and support with an accent on distributed APIs, cloud services, CI/CD, and modern architecture patterns. Focus on re-platforming legacy systems, improving release pipelines, applying TDD, and mentoring delivery teams while adopting AI-assisted development tools responsibly.
Location: Hybrid roles based in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle upon Tyne, Edinburgh, or Belfast, United Kingdom

What you will do
- Develop and maintain client applications using C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework Core.
- Design, build, and support distributed APIs and multi-tier integrations across client systems.
- Modernise and re-platform legacy applications using N-Tier, MVC, Event-Driven, or Microservices architecture where appropriate.
- Own CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Azure DevOps and support releases, deployments, and formal production change management.
- Apply unit testing and TDD practices, including xUnit, NUnit, and Moq, to improve reliability and maintainability.
- Work with Azure services, documentation, technical mentoring, peer reviews, and governed adoption of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
Requirements
- 10+ years of .NET development experience, including current .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core development.
- Experience with JavaScript, SQL, preferably MS SQL Server, and Entity Framework or similar ORM tools.
- Data transformation and integration experience, including data service extracts and reports.
- CI/CD experience with tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps; familiarity with Azure Repos and DevOps.
- Experience with manual deployment using IIS Manager and awareness of the wider Microsoft technology stack.
- Exposure to or strong interest in Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub version control.
Nice to have
- Unit testing and TDD experience with tools such as xUnit or NUnit.
- Experience with formal change and incident management processes such as ITIL.
- Exposure to Microservices, Event-Driven, or Clean Architecture patterns.
- Interest in AI-assisted development tooling and governance.
