Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

Location: New York City, United States; onsite

What you will do

• Own Gecko’s cloud platform and design a well-architected cloud environment.
• Improve operational excellence through observability, reliability, security, privacy, compliance, cost optimization, and performance optimization.
• Build smooth, intuitive, automated CI/CD and enable engineers to manage their own deployments.
• Manage customer authentication, permissions, DevOps tools, and the local development experience.
• Improve onboarding and internal training while contributing to the Software Platform team’s work.
• Architect solutions that enable required certifications, including DoD IL4/5.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a DevOps role.
• Strong automation and scripting skills.
• Experience with one or more cloud platforms, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with Terraform, cloud automation, CI/CD, and Docker.
• Proficiency with Linux and command-line tools.
• Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Python experience.
• Experience working with the US Government, specifically the DoD.
• GCP-specific experience.
