Software Integration Engineer 3 - DevOps

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD; other location: ID. U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph are required.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary customer-facing operations point of contact.
• Manage request triage and gather and scope technical requirements.
• Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages.
• Administer Linux environments, including service management, configuration management, provisioning, storage, networking, and sustainment operations.
• Deploy containerized services with Kubernetes and support Big Data processing and analytics frameworks, including Spark.
• Provide standby support for ad-hoc critical-thinking requests directed by the mission customer.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph and be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus at least eight years of demonstrable experience integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in heterogeneous operating system environments.
• Five years of full-time directly related Computer Science work may substitute for the degree, with at least eight years of demonstrable experience still required.
• An industry-recognized professional certification defined in the TT0s may substitute for one year of experience; a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field may substitute for two years of experience.
• Experience with Linux CLI, Linux administration, software integration, service management, configuration management, provisioning, storage, and networking.
• Experience writing scripts with Shell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages in Linux environments.
• Experience with stream and batch Big Data processing and analytic frameworks, including Spark; CI/CD principles and tools such as GitLab CI; Infrastructure as Code and provisioning automation with tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes orchestration, Prometheus/Grafana monitoring, and Git source-code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including JIRA and Confluence.
