Systems Administrator 3 (On-Call) - Linux/Bash/Python/STE/STN/Docker/Kubernetes

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Support a large-scale Linux system, including installation, configuration, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution.
• Install and support COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software across compute, network, memory, and storage environments.
• Maintain system security integrity and configure network components.
• Implement operating-system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Sustain Linux clusters, virtualization environments, monitoring systems, and infrastructure automation.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph and be a U.S. citizen.
• Fifteen years of Systems Administration experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity; five additional years of Systems Administration experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required unless substituted by the additional experience described above.
• Security+ certification is required.
• Experience with the Linux CLI and developing scripts using Bash and Python.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software in large-scale Linux cluster environments.
• Technical knowledge of compute, network, memory, and storage system components.
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite, Splunk, VMware ESXi/virtualization, HPE One View, and Nagios.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible.
• Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures and with Docker containerization.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Experience with distributed file systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
