Sr. Cyber Security Administrator

Location: Onsite at client facilities in New Carrollton, Maryland, or Memphis, Tennessee, United States

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Execute client-directed containment, eradication, and recovery actions for affected systems, accounts, networks, and services.
• Restore systems and services through rebuilds, data recovery, patching, secure reconfiguration, and backup operations.
• Implement and maintain operating systems and related software supporting cyber operations.
• Monitor resources, troubleshoot outages, automate operational processes, and support backup and recovery design.
• Coordinate response activities with technical teams, system owners, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Document response actions and configuration changes, support incident closure, and guide personnel assisting in the work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience implementing and maintaining operating systems and related software for cyber operations, including platform and software patching.
• Experience designing and implementing backup and recovery processes and performing data recoveries.
• Experience supporting incident containment, eradication, and recovery in an enterprise environment.
• Strong Windows and Linux system administration skills, including Active Directory.
• Scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or comparable tools.
• Recognized specialist experience leading individuals assisting in the work.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Must be able to work evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts when incidents or emergencies require them.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal government contracts, contract performance standards, deliverable schedules, and government review and approval processes.
• Experience with federal change management processes.
• Experience with EDR, SIEM, and incident ticketing tools.
• Experience administering hybrid on-premises and cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
• CompTIA Security+, CySA+, RHCSA, or Microsoft administrator certifications.
