Senior Specialist, Cyber Infrastructure Systems Engineer (Systems Administrator)

Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado, US; 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.

Salary: $92,500–$171,500 per year.

What you will do

• Support system sustainment for the MOSSAIC C2 Space Domain Awareness mission and its Space Mission Platform.
• Administer, maintain, patch, tune, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows systems in an enterprise production environment.
• Support VMware Cloud Foundation virtualized infrastructure across private cloud environments.
• Automate system administration, configuration management, deployments, patching, and infrastructure support with Ansible.
• Support Kubernetes-based container platforms, including cluster operations, workload deployments, and platform troubleshooting.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 4+ years with a graduate degree, or 10+ years of related experience without a degree.
• Production enterprise experience administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows.
• Hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation version 9 or higher.
• Experience with Ansible automation and working knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and containerized applications.
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework environment, including team ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery.
• Top Secret SCI clearance required; CI Poly is preferred.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 certification required: Security+ CE or higher.
• Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens; candidates must meet eligibility requirements for classified-information access.

Nice to have

• RHCSA, Network+, VMware, Microsoft, or other relevant infrastructure certifications.
• Endpoint management and EDR experience, including McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.
• Experience authoring SIEM detection logic and developing automated SOAR responses.
• Familiarity with ACAS, Nessus, and OpenVAS vulnerability-management tools.
• Experience with Palo Alto and Juniper network appliances.
• Working knowledge of RMF, POA&M processes, and compliance reporting.
