Senior System Administrator I (TS/SCI)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's Chantilly, VA facility; candidates must be eligible to work in US offices. The role may require travel up to 20%, extended hours, and weekends as mission requires.

Base Pay Range (VA Only): $100,000–$130,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Deploy and administer classified endpoints, servers, and network devices.
• Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and optimize performance and security.
• Implement and maintain hardened configurations using STIGs and NIST 800-53 controls.
• Collaborate with ISSO, ISSM, ISSE, and engineering teams to architect secure solutions and gather requirements.
• Maintain asset management, procedures, system architecture, and incident-response documentation.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen with a current Tier 5 investigation and active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph, as required by program sponsors.
• 5+ years of experience plus a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience totaling 9+ years of work experience.
• DoD 8140 Intermediate or Advanced certification, such as Security+, Cloud+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge of NIST 800-53 and STIG security frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux including Ubuntu/RHEL, VMware vSphere, Docker, FortiGate/FortiOS, Cisco IOS, ACAS, Splunk, and Trellix.
• Must be able to work onsite in the United States and comply with applicable ITAR work-authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with NIST RMF and ISO 27001 security frameworks.
• Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Specialist or advanced certifications such as RHCSA, CCNP, GCIH, or CISSP.
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and Ansible scripting or automation.
• Experience as an ISSO, ISSE, or ISSM.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN/802.1Q, BGP, and OSPF.
