Principal IT Systems Administrator (Windows)

Salary: $99,000–$206,000 per year

What you will do

• Perform software and hardware installation, troubleshooting, system hardening, vulnerability analysis and remediation, operating system patching, and network administration.
• Install and support end-user workstations, thin clients, and VOIP systems.
• Coordinate IT operations between program personnel, security teams, and leadership, communicating status as appropriate.
• Follow established standards, processes, and industry best practices while delivering projects and maintaining technical documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of applicable experience delivering and supporting IT solutions in government-accredited program network environments using Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external customers and deliver technical solutions to engineering teams.
• Strong familiarity with virtualization, networking, Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and related IT concepts.
• Current TS//SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.
• Ability to possess or obtain a DOD 8140/8570 IAT Level II or higher certification, such as Security+ CE or CISSP.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems, Cybersecurity, or another STEM field.
• Experience with DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, MFA, PKI, DLP, PowerShell, Python, BASH, Ansible, Splunk, Nessus, Rapid7, and NIST 800-53 control frameworks.
