Transformation Management (Senior) Consultant (Banking)

Location: Hybrid in the Netherlands, with work from home, the client, or offices in Amsterdam and Maastricht. Eligible to work in the Netherlands; EU citizenship or valid work authorisation required.

What you will do

• Lead complex transformation and change management projects from scoping through execution and benefits realisation.
• Develop change strategies, roadmaps, governance frameworks, stakeholder engagement plans, impact assessments, and readiness evaluations.
• Manage project workstreams, timelines, budgets, quality deliverables, and client-side change agent networks.
• Build long-term client relationships, identify account expansion opportunities, and support proposals and business development.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge assets, methodologies, recruiting, onboarding, and capability-building initiatives.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in management consulting or an in-house transformation role.
• Proven delivery of change management programmes in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Experience in financial services, including insurance, banking, pensions, payments, or asset management.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Econometrics, Organisational Psychology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of change management frameworks such as Kotter, ADKAR, McKinsey 7-S, or Lewin.
• Proficiency in project and programme management methodologies, including PRINCE2, PMI, SAFe, or Agile.
• Ability to design and execute organisational design, communications, training, and adoption strategies, including for ERP, CRM, cloud, and AI adoption programmes.
• Strong data literacy for building the case for change and tracking adoption KPIs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, emotional intelligence, executive stakeholder management, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is required. Non-Dutch speakers will not be accepted.
• Work permit sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Certification in change management, such as Prosci/ADKAR or APMG Change Management.
• Strong interest in data and AI-related topics and the ability to build expertise in these areas.
