Business Strategy Intern (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States; working hours are 8am–5pm Monday through Friday in the candidate’s local time zone, with preference for Eastern or Central time zones. Summer 2027 internship lasting 11–13 weeks.

Salary: $25–$35 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Analyze pricing and monetization approaches across the payments and fintech industry and develop practical recommendations.
• Research competitors’ product strategy, packaging, go-to-market approach, and AI capabilities.
• Use agentic AI, generative AI, and other AI tools to research, analyze data, build models, and create deliverables.
• Build business cases and financial models for evaluating strategic opportunities.
• Create reusable competitive trackers and comparison frameworks.
• Prepare executive-ready briefs and presentations, refine them with cross-functional stakeholders, and present findings to the executive team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; must return to school after the internship and must not graduate in 2027.
• Prior professional experience, such as a previous internship or part-time role.
• Strong financial modeling and Excel skills, with the ability to build models supporting business decisions.
• Clear, structured written and verbal communication and confidence presenting to senior audiences.
• Genuine interest in payments, pricing, and strategy; prior payments experience is not required.

Nice to have

• Experience in consulting, banking, corporate strategy, or fintech.
• Experience with business intelligence tools, especially Tableau.
