2027 Summer Internship - Strategy Analytics Project (Healthcare)

Location: Must be based in Chicago and available to work from the Chicago office three times a week for the full 10-week internship.

Salary: $25 per hour. Full-time paid internship running from June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027.

What you will do

• Support a defined healthcare strategy project, such as a market assessment, service line growth analysis, or ambulatory network evaluation.
• Gather, organize, and validate data for quantitative and qualitative analyses of market demand, competitive positioning, access, utilization, and growth opportunities.
• Partner with project team members to meet objectives and agreed-upon timelines.
• Develop charts, summaries, and presentation materials that communicate findings and their implications to project teams and stakeholders.
• Document analytical approaches, assumptions, data sources, and open questions to support reproducible work.
• Help create reusable templates, standardized analyses, documentation, and efficient reporting processes.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in business, analytics, economics, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Tableau, Power BI, or a similar data visualization tool, including organizing data and creating charts or dashboards.
• Relevant coursework or project experience in data analysis, statistics, market research, strategy, finance, or healthcare.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative information into clear takeaways.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and interest in healthcare strategy and analytics.
• Must be based in Chicago and available to work from the Chicago office three times a week for the complete 10-week program.
