Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Location: Kennesaw, Georgia, USA; onsite

Hiring range: $115,000–$150,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, and Engineering Technicians while setting priorities, standards, performance expectations, and succession plans.
• Improve throughput, productivity, OEE/OPE, lead time, capacity, scrap, rework, downtime, and manufacturing costs through engineering KPIs and sustainable solutions.
• Oversee process flows, routings, standards, work instructions, engineering specifications, equipment standards, and jig and fixture systems across facilities.
• Develop capital plans and lead equipment specification, procurement, installation, commissioning, automation, digital manufacturing, safety, reliability, and capacity-planning activities.
• Provide engineering leadership for NPI and APQP, including DFM, process capability, production validation, risk mitigation, and PPAP launch deliverables.
• Lead large-scale projects and collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Sales, and Commercial teams on strategic initiatives, customer requirements, quoting, contracts, safety, and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8–10+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience, including 3–5+ years of engineering leadership or supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated success leading manufacturing improvement initiatives and capital projects.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, automation, and production systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
• Strategic thinking, business acumen, people leadership, coaching, problem-solving, analytical ability, project and change management, communication, stakeholder management, organization, prioritization, and results orientation.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, copper fabrication, or complex manufacturing environments.
• Multi-site manufacturing experience.
• APQP, PPAP, and NPI leadership experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with ERP/MES systems, manufacturing analytics, cellular manufacturing strategies, and value stream transformations.
