Manufacturing Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite manufacturing and clean-room work may be required

Salary: $96,000–$132,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Coordinate product improvements and new product releases with other engineering functions and manage manufacturing engineering projects.
• Lead the use of design for excellence principles to reduce manufacturing and product costs and improve quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies.
• Investigate assembly and system-testing issues, perform Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, define corrective actions, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of experience.
• Conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving on the job.
• Ability to work onsite with extended standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, tight spaces, noise, hand and power tools, and color-distinguishing requirements.
• Ability to work in a clean room and use required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
