Manufacturing Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite manufacturing and clean-room work may require extended standing, walking, work in tight spaces, use of tools, and personal protective equipment. Travel: 10% of the time. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $96,000–$132,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Coordinate product improvements and new-product releases with other engineering functions and manage manufacturing engineering projects.
• Lead the use of Design for Excellence principles to reduce manufacturing and product costs and improve quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate results and work methods, and identify root causes and corrective actions for assembly and system-testing issues.
• Perform Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, prepare reports, and mentor and train junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of experience.
• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving on the job.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of manufacturing and potential clean-room work, including use of required personal protective equipment.
