Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Onsite in Bartlett, Illinois, United States; only candidates local to the Chicago area can be considered.

Salary: $88,000–$110,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Optimize manufacturing processes, production workflows, safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Analyze production data and apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence tools.
• Support new product launches, validate equipment, and develop process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Partner with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Evaluate manufacturing technologies and automation solutions, manage capital improvement projects, and train production personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
• Experience with process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment, walk production floors for extended periods, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and use appropriate PPE.
