Automation & Technology Solutions Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Gloucester, MA, United States; full-time onsite role with travel up to 20% and relocation eligibility.

Salary: $96,000–$132,000 per year, plus potential bonus and stock award compensation.

What you will do

• Perform methods engineering analysis, including process design, time and motion studies, and manufacturing line improvement recommendations.
• Lead industrial engineering projects, including implementation, quality tools, cost analysis, ROI calculations, and success measures.
• Evaluate ergonomics and human factors and improve work-area designs.
• Develop plant layouts, material-handling systems, staging areas, and warehousing solutions.
• Support product introductions into volume manufacturing through PLC/ePLC deliverables, line setup, material-flow design, tooling, and fixtures.
• Maintain capacity data and establish standards for materials processing, people, space, equipment, manufacturing, and logistics functions.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant engineering discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how the discipline integrates with other functions.
• Ability to solve complex problems using multiple sources of information and sound judgment.
• Ability to act as a resource for less-experienced colleagues and lead small projects with manageable risks and resources.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, work in tight spaces, bend, squat, twist, kneel, reach, lift, distinguish colors, tolerate potentially difficult noise levels, and use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a clean room and use required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
