VP/MD, Technology Business Operations

Location: Baltimore, MD, United States; some travel to hirify.global sites required

Salary: $240,000–$275,000 base annually, plus bonus eligibility and equity grants.

What you will do

• Lead Technology’s financial operations with FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tagging, spend reporting, variance analysis, and spending recommendations.
• Reconcile staffing, vendor, procurement, renewal, and spending assumptions while ensuring corporate controls and approval requirements are followed.
• Program-manage cross-cutting initiatives, strategic and annual planning, leadership operating cadence, and visible audit and risk commitments.
• Coordinate Technology’s organizational, reporting, performance, development, engagement, recognition, and workforce planning activities with HR, Finance, and deputy CTOs.
• Lead executive, staff, and business-partner communications, including business reviews, town halls, organizational updates, and policy or process changes.

Requirements

• 12–15 years of experience in technology business operations or technology financial management, including leadership of cross-functional programs.
• 5+ years of management experience and experience managing a small team of IC2–6 staff while remaining hands-on.
• Deep experience in technology budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, procurement, financial modeling, cost tagging, spend reporting, and contract tracking.
• Ability to secure action from senior leaders without direct authority and exercise delegated executive authority with discretion.
• Ability to set the function’s direction in partnership with the CTO and deputy CTOs.
• Demonstrated use of AI to simplify and accelerate recurring work, with verification of outputs and protection of sensitive information.
• BS degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Excellent executive writing and broad staff communications skills.
• Experience with Oracle Financials, Beeline, Microsoft 365, Atlassian, Slack, and AI tools for analysis, drafting, and agentic workflows.
