Senior Business Analyst (Wealth Technology)

What you will do

• Lead business analysis across complex financial services and technology projects.
• Work with stakeholders to understand objectives, processes, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into requirements, user stories, process maps, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to establish and prioritise requirements.
• Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and impacts across business and technology functions.
• Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, FinTech, investment management, wealth management, or a related technology environment.
• Experience working with technology and software development teams and understanding the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience gathering, analysing, and documenting complex business requirements.
• Understanding of investment concepts including asset allocation, funds and securities, portfolio construction, rebalancing, portfolio performance, trading and transactions, and investment data.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business processes into practical technology solutions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience in a FinTech, wealth management, investment manager, asset manager, or financial technology provider.
• Experience with Model Portfolio Services platforms, portfolio management systems, or order and trading systems.
• Understanding of adviser, wealth manager, or discretionary investment management workflows.
• Experience working with financial or investment data.
