Business Analyst (Business Intelligence)

Location: Hybrid role based in Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, document, and hand over requirements for IT delivery.
• Support Project and Product Managers with requirements, capacity estimates, costs, and delivery of IT workstreams.
• Translate complex issues into manageable solutions, services, and deliverables.
• Work with business stakeholders, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to define business intelligence, reporting, analytics, and data requirements.
• Analyze data and produce meaningful reports and visualizations to support strategic decisions and non-technical audiences.
• Identify process improvements and ensure consistent use of business terminology and data sources.

Requirements

• Experience as a Business Analyst delivering IT solutions around Business Intelligence and supporting Project Managers with workstream delivery.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering and analysis.
• Experience improving data quality and standardizing complex asset data.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to interpret complex datasets and issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting data-driven insights to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to translate business requirements into use cases with descriptions, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements.
• Ability to present visualizations and reports in a business context to business stakeholders.
