Senior Architect (Life Sciences/Data Centres)

What you will do

• Lead innovative, functional and technically robust architectural design solutions with the Head of Architecture and project teams.
• Drive design through concept development, planning, technical design and construction.
• Coordinate architectural deliverables with multidisciplinary engineers, specialist consultants and external stakeholders.
• Manage project resources, fees, programmes and deliverables while maintaining quality and commercial performance.
• Lead design reviews and technical coordination, improving design quality, efficiency, sustainability and project value.
• Build client relationships, provide advice, support business development and develop colleagues through knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Architect registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB).
• Experience delivering architectural design on complex capital projects, ideally in Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, Data Centre, healthcare or other advanced industrial environments.
• Strong design experience across relevant RIBA Plan of Work stages, particularly concept design, planning and technical design.
• Ability to lead architectural design and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, specialist consultants and project stakeholders.
• Strong technical design and construction detailing skills, with an understanding of buildability, coordination and practical project delivery requirements.
• Commercial awareness covering project fees, resource planning, budgets, programmes and the impact of design decisions on project outcomes.
• Excellent knowledge of UK/European building regulations, planning requirements, construction technology and relevant technical standards.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and experience delivering coordinated architectural information in a multidisciplinary design environment.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to client engagement, technical leadership and teamwork.
