Director, Rapid Response & Thought Leadership (Cybersecurity)

Location: USA - Remote

Base salary: $170,000–$260,000 per year for U.S. candidates, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and lead the marketing rapid-response program for emerging threats, critical vulnerabilities, major incidents, and breaking security developments.
• Establish SLAs, prioritization criteria, escalation paths, and cross-functional accountability for timely security-event responses.
• Coordinate Product Marketing, Campaigns, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Communications, Editorial, Legal, Digital, and Sales Enablement from assessment through publication and amplification.
• Translate technical research and emerging security developments into blogs, technical explainers, webinars, videos, and customer-facing resources.
• Lead AI thought leadership across frontier AI research, AI safety, securing AI systems and agents, and defending with AI, while developing programs across cloud security, identity, threat intelligence, and exposure management.
• Use AI and automation to accelerate workflows and track SLAs, execution, engagement, sales adoption, and marketing-influenced pipeline.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity marketing, product marketing, technical marketing, threat intelligence, cybersecurity research, or related fields.
• Experience building or scaling a cybersecurity rapid-response marketing program with SLAs, prioritization frameworks, cross-functional workflows, and timely responses to critical security events.
• Experience building and executing research-driven thought leadership programs that generate industry engagement and measurable business impact.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, including emerging threats, vulnerabilities, adversary tactics, and enterprise security technologies, with interest in AI research, AI safety, and AI security.
• Exceptional storytelling and communication skills for translating complex technical research into narratives for security practitioners, CISOs, and business leaders.
• Ability to operate with speed and urgency, make decisions under pressure, and drive cross-functional execution under tight deadlines.
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving accountability across functions.
• Hands-on experience using generative AI and automation to transform marketing workflows, accelerate execution, improve productivity, and support business outcomes.
