Controls Engineer (Water Treatment)

Location: Bruce County, Ontario, Canada; full-time on-site attendance at Bruce Power five days per week. Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Bruce County area or reliably commute to the site for the assignment.

Salary: CAD 60–80 per hour

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate the I&C, Electrical, and Digital engineering scopes.
• Work with the Mechanical Lead to integrate multidisciplinary engineering activities.
• Support the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems.
• Review analog and digital control system requirements, technical specifications, drawings, and deliverables.
• Provide technical input on electrical systems, instrumentation, and digital control infrastructure.
• Identify and resolve technical issues while coordinating with engineering teams and project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in Controls Engineering or Instrumentation & Control.
• Experience supporting water treatment facilities, water treatment plants, or similar industrial process facilities.
• Strong understanding of both analog and digital control systems, including electrical engineering scopes and digital control systems.
• Experience with engineering design, technical documentation, and project execution.
• Ability to coordinate multiple engineering disciplines and work alongside mechanical engineering teams.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Full-time on-site attendance at Bruce Power five days per week is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with water treatment facility design, upgrades, or commissioning.
• Experience in nuclear, power generation, utilities, or other highly regulated industrial environments.
• Familiarity with PLC, DCS, SCADA, instrumentation, and process control systems.
• Previous Bruce Power or other nuclear facility experience.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering deliverables.
