IT Project Manager (Software Development)

Location: Milan, Italy; presence in the Milan office required 4 days per week

What you will do

• Initiate and plan software development projects with business and digital products leadership.
• Define project goals, scope, timelines, deliverables, work plans, and required resources.
• Lead execution and closure while monitoring schedule, scope, quality, budget, and reporting metrics.
• Assess and resolve project changes, issues, dependencies, and risks with sponsors and stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources, assign tasks, and communicate project status, decisions, risks, and achievements.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, divisional, quality, and IT governance policies and support programs or department-level projects with measurable business impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of project management, business systems analysis, or software development experience.
• Experience managing software development projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, project controls, risk management, and stakeholder management.
• Strong communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
• Fluent English required in reading, writing, and speaking.

Nice to have

• Experience in global or matrix organizations.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with project portfolio management and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Jama and the Atlassian suite.
• Familiarity with medical device, diagnostics, or other regulated-environment applications.
