Software Project Leader (IoT)

Location: Pordenone, Italy; hybrid work with up to 50% flexibility on a monthly basis

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of electronic control platforms for professional food, laundry, and beverage solutions.
• Act as Technical Product Owner by defining priorities, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring solutions meet customer needs, business objectives, and Agile principles.
• Plan and monitor project timelines, resources, budgets, delivery scope, and quality.
• Coordinate and develop firmware, software, and SQA teams across functions, sites, and stakeholders.
• Translate high-level requirements into technical specifications, architecture decisions, and implementation plans.
• Standardize products, concepts, hardware, firmware, and software modules against global architectures, platforms, and product strategy; manage technical risks, dependencies, and issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience with firmware and software coding principles and best practices.
• Previous leadership experience in a software development environment.
• Proven embedded systems development experience, including microcontrollers, peripherals, protocols, and real-time constraints.
• Ability to convert high-level customer and business requirements into structured technical specifications and actionable development plans.
• Proficiency in applying AI technologies across requirements, development, and validation activities in the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills in cross-functional and international environments.
• Experience with Agile ways of working and Product Owner or project leadership responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to technical decisions; experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams across multiple sites.
