Backend Developer (Gaming)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid work with three office days per week

What you will do

• Build scalable, asynchronous, cloud-based, and event-driven backend systems.
• Implement backend solutions that improve system performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with R&D, Front-End, and Quality Assurance teams across the software development lifecycle.
• Advance Agile development practices and participate in detailed code reviews.
• Use AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a software developer.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Willingness to work in an environment using AI tools is required.
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL databases, particularly Postgres.
• Experience with Kafka and Redis.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, reactive programming, and big data insights.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
