Junior Oracle Database and Infrastructure Engineer (Oracle)

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom; on-site five days per week. Candidates must be able to travel reliably to the workplace each working day and have the right to work in the United Kingdom. Eligibility for UK Government and contractual security requirements, including applicable residency and possible nationality requirements, is required.

What you will do

• Support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise Oracle platforms and their supporting infrastructure.
• Gain practical experience in Oracle database administration, SQL, and PL/SQL development.
• Support Linux and Windows Server environments and infrastructure operations.
• Work with AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platforms.
• Use automation and scripting, monitor platforms, and contribute to performance optimisation.
• Follow documented operational procedures while working independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Exposure to Linux or Windows Server environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience or exposure to Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Linux administration experience.

• Backup and recovery concepts.

• Git or other source control tools.
