Database Administrator (SQL Server)

What you will do

• Own application-facing database activities, including schema and database configuration, migrations, data movement, compatibility, and application connectivity.
• Work with application teams, business analysts, and vendors to understand database requirements, dependencies, and application behaviour.
• Lead application-specific SQL troubleshooting and performance analysis across databases, queries, and applications.
• Support migration, testing, and cutover to transition databases and applications as an integrated service.
• Define database requirements for infrastructure-aligned DBAs and drive database reliability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of SQL Server databases and related utilities and tools.
• Understanding of database concepts sufficient to implement different RDBMS technologies.
• Good understanding of Windows and Unix operating systems.
• Knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server backup and recovery scenarios.
• Experience with database change management and data management throughout the development life cycle.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Presentation and communication skills.
• Oracle Certified or MCP Certified.
