HPC Network Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate lossless RDMA-capable fabrics for GPU compute and storage traffic, including QoS, congestion control, and buffer tuning.
• Build and manage leaf-spine data centre fabrics using routed underlay and overlay designs such as BGP and EVPN/VXLAN.
• Implement tenant isolation, segmentation, addressing, bandwidth guarantees, and capacity planning across compute, storage, and management planes.
• Automate network provisioning and validation with configuration as code, source-of-truth systems, and CI.
• Build telemetry, dashboards, and alerting; troubleshoot issues from optics and cabling through switches, NICs/DPUs, and host collective communication.
• Own out-of-band recovery, office wired and wireless networks, firewalling, VPN, remote access, office-to-data-centre connectivity, and networking enablement for colleagues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating production data centre networks.
• Strong dynamic routing experience, especially BGP, plus overlay and encapsulation design and troubleshooting, including EVPN/VXLAN.
• Hands-on leaf-spine/Clos fabric design and operations experience.
• Experience with modern data centre network operating systems and the Linux networking stack.
• Practical RDMA fabric experience with lossless Ethernet such as RoCEv2 and PFC/ECN/DCQCN tuning, or InfiniBand; understanding of lossless networking for GPU workloads.
• Network automation experience using scripting, configuration management, source-of-truth-driven configuration generation, and version-controlled changes.
• Solid Linux administration and host-side debugging fundamentals.
• Experience with network telemetry and monitoring, including Prometheus/Grafana, sFlow/IPFIX, or streaming telemetry.
• Experience operating corporate or campus networks, including wired and wireless infrastructure, NAC/802.1X, VPN, and remote access.
• Clear communication skills and willingness to teach colleagues.

Nice to have

• GPU cluster networking with NVIDIA Spectrum-X, Quantum InfiniBand, ConnectX/BlueField, UFM, SHARP, or equivalent.
• Container networking, collective-communication libraries, multi-tenant VRF isolation, enterprise firewalls, storage networking, bare-metal provisioning, high-speed optical networking, greenfield data centre builds, or CCNP/CCIE equivalent certification.
