Senior Product Owner (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $94,900–$130,500 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus incentive.

What you will do

• Prioritize and oversee development team work, product backlog items, and releases in partnership with the Product Manager.
• Define user stories and acceptance criteria while translating business priorities into technical requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to understand end-user needs, shape requirements, and validate solutions.
• Manage delivery risks, confirm product quality, and verify that functionality meets customer needs.
• Communicate product functionality and sprint outcomes and support multiple Agile Delivery Teams.
• Build relationships between business and IT partners to facilitate high-value product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience representing business or technology in technology implementations and/or product or project management.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, meeting facilitation, negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail orientation with excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Critical thinking, initiative, ability to anticipate team needs, ask effective questions, and deliver high-quality work.
• Ability to find viable business solutions when ideal tools or resources are unavailable.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines.
• Self-starter able to work independently.
• Remote work requires a dedicated, interruption-free workspace for protecting member PHI/HIPAA information and internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of quoting, rating, and underwriting.
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager or equivalent certification.
• Agile or Scrum certification.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, and/or Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Agile development processes and story writing.
• Experience working collaboratively with project stakeholders and remote teams at all organizational levels.
