Purchase Business Controller (Retail)

Location: Gothenburg HQ, Sweden; hybrid remote model with weekly work from the office and home

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end performance of assigned product categories and optimize assortments against sales, inventory, and financial targets.
• Set, communicate, and follow up on sales plans, purchase budgets, and category KPIs.
• Define assortment and purchasing strategies with buying teams, including product mix, quantity, price, margin, and timing.
• Analyze purchasing, sales, and inventory data to identify opportunities, risks, and actions.
• Prepare and track sales forecasts and performance reports, communicating insights and recommendations.
• Improve purchasing and controlling processes, tools, reporting, and follow-ups.

Requirements

• Relevant education in Business Administration and/or Textile.
• 1–2 years of experience in purchase or commercial controlling, sales merchandising, or buying, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven, strategic mindset.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, BI tools, and Claude (AI).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including excellent written and verbal English.
• Ability to present findings clearly in a decision-ready format and guide others informally.
