Senior Solutions Engineer (Storage)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; hybrid work with in-office and/or in-person expectations

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise to sales staff and customers through presentations, product demonstrations, consultations, and product capability assessments.
• Design tailored storage technology, data management, and hybrid storage solutions for customer requirements.
• Prepare product, design, and implementation specifications for complex products, applications, and solutions.
• Build mini-applications, rapid prototypes, or product demos to demonstrate solution feasibility.
• Create ROI/TCO overviews and communicate solution advantages to customers, executives, partners, and sales teams.
• Advise on technical resources and develop customer opportunity strategies related to storage solutions.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience and expertise in technical specifications for storage products and services.
• Prior experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Solutions Engineering focused on storage technologies.
• Knowledge of NAS, SAN, and Object Storage, including designing and architecting on-premise or hybrid storage systems.
• Experience developing storage infrastructure and data management solutions for enterprise applications and cloud services.
• Deep knowledge of the storage and data management vendor ecosystem, including prior experience with backup solutions.
• Ability to operate as a subject-matter expert, influence sales teams, drive initiatives, and act as a decision-maker on projects.
• Experience or working knowledge of EMC, HDS, HPE, IBM, VMware, or PureStorage products.
• Ability to collaborate with client executives and partner sales teams to develop storage-related customer opportunities.

Nice to have

• Specialized knowledge of cloud, storage, AI/ML, databases, microservices, enterprise applications, or DevOps.
• Knowledge of Docker, containers, Kubernetes, hybrid multicloud technologies, or AI platforms.
