Senior Product Manager (Zero-Day Protection)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas; London, United Kingdom; or New York, New York. Final-stage candidates may be asked to attend an in-person interview at a hirify.global office or hub.

Estimated annual salary: €65,000–€80,000 for Lisbon-based hires; $156,000–$216,000 for New York City-based hires. Compensation may vary by work location.

What you will do

• Own the strategy and roadmap for WAF Managed Rules and the broader zero-day protection experience.
• Define customer workflows for identifying affected applications, discovering protections, deploying and testing mitigations, investigating attacks, managing exceptions, and confirming remediation.
• Prioritize shared security primitives, telemetry, APIs, automation, auditability, and emergency policy controls across security products.
• Partner with Security Analysts, Engineering, Support, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Legal, Communications, customers, and external researchers.
• Turn threat intelligence, vulnerability research, customer feedback, and Enterprise operational needs into product priorities.
• Write technical and customer communications and represent hirify.global in the security community, conferences, and online.

Requirements

• Strong product-management experience covering strategy, roadmap ownership, discovery, prioritization, and cross-functional delivery.
• Technical fluency in HTTP applications, vulnerabilities, exploits, and detection systems.
• Ability to synthesize input from security analysts, engineers, customers, and commercial teams into clear product decisions.
• Customer empathy and strong product judgment for complex technical workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous security environment.
• Strong cross-functional leadership across Security Analysts, Engineering, Support, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Legal, Communications, and product teams.

Nice to have

• Security research, exploit development, or detection engineering experience.
• Experience with WAFs, managed rules, security-rule rollout, false-positive management, application security, threat intelligence, security operations, or vulnerability management.
• Experience with Enterprise security operations, including APIs, automation, auditability, policy controls, logs, and SIEM integrations.
• Experience with code scanning, software supply-chain security, or exposure discovery.
• Presence in the security research community, conference speaking, technical writing, or press engagement.
