Principal Product Manager (AI Governance)

Location: Bellevue, United States; on-site.

Salary: Estimated base salary of $230K–$270K annually, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Own the 12–18 month roadmap for identity, authentication, access governance, and guardrails across the agentic platform.
• Define identity, provisioning, delegation, attestation, authorization, scoped consent, least-privilege execution, and just-in-time elevation for human, robot, and AI agents.
• Build governance capabilities including policy-as-code, sandboxing, approval flows, monitoring views, audit trails, and attribution across multi-hop delegation chains.
• Partner with regulated customers in financial services, healthcare, and the public sector to support production deployments and shape product fixes.
• Prototype agent and authentication flows using code and coding agents, create reference implementations, and drive adoption across product teams.
• Own metrics such as time-to-grant, audit coverage, policy violations, and developer friction; present capabilities and roadmap to customers, partners, and security stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years in technical product management or engineering roles, including sustained experience in enterprise governance, identity, access, or guardrails.
• Experience shipping trusted infrastructure for production enterprise traffic.
• A visible record of innovation in agentic governance, such as owned capabilities, reference implementations, or specification and working-group contributions.
• Fluency in enterprise identity and access, including authentication, authorization, and auditing for users, services, and agents.
• Working knowledge of MCP authorization, on-behalf-of delegation, and agent identity models in Okta and Entra.
• Understanding of agentic AI, including tool-calling, MCP, RAG, and agent design patterns.
• Ability to define product direction in ambiguous areas, distinguish standards-solvable problems, and communicate clearly to CISOs, auditors, customers, and internal teams.
• Experience working closely with engineering and field teams and making technical trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Several years of identity, access, or security-platform product work at an enterprise vendor, hyperscaler identity team, IAM vendor, workload-identity or secrets vendor, or an early-stage startup in the space.
• Experience bringing an enterprise agentic-governance product or feature to market or contributing to a related specification or working group.
• Experience shipping to regulated industries and participating in customer security or compliance reviews.
• Experience prototyping with code or coding agents and using working implementations to guide product decisions.
• Strong opinions, supported by experience, about the future of agent identity, access, and guardrails.
