Staff Product Manager (vMetal)

Location: Remote; available locations include Canada, EMEA, and the United States

Salary: United States $170K–$210K plus equity and bonus; Germany €90K–€130K plus equity and bonus

hirify.global Labs is a venture-backed AI infrastructure startup building a platform that helps AI Cloud providers and AI factories run bare metal, managed Kubernetes, Slurm, Ray, and inference clusters on GPU infrastructure.

What you will do

• Set business priorities and technical direction for vMetal across compute and networking, translating them into executable engineering specifications.
• Own the networking layer, including tenant network provisioning and isolation across InfiniBand and high-speed Ethernet fabrics, tenant VPCs, GPU fabrics, fabric controllers, and NVIDIA networking tools.
• Partner with the Head of Product and engineering leadership to shape the product direction.
• Run alpha and beta builds against real bare-metal hardware and network fabrics where possible, identifying integration issues before customers do.
• Engage platform and network engineers at AI Cloud operators and hyperscalers, converting their infrastructure challenges into product behavior.
• Track the bare-metal, GPU infrastructure, and data center networking ecosystem and align product positioning across engineering, sales, and marketing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, data center networking, bare metal, or GPU/HPC platforms; backgrounds in networking and hardware vendors are also considered.
• Understand InfiniBand, VLAN, VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, and the NVIDIA networking stack, including Spectrum and Quantum switches, UFM, Cumulus Linux, and NVUE, well enough to make informed product tradeoffs.
• Understand bare-metal provisioning, out-of-band server management with Redfish and IPMI, and PXE boot well enough to make informed product tradeoffs.
• Experience working directly with platform engineers, network engineers, and architects in customer-facing infrastructure discussions.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI networking fabrics for GPU training or inference, including RoCEv2, rail-optimized topologies, or Spectrum-X.
• Experience building a Kubernetes-as-a-Service offering at a cloud provider, vendor, or large internal platform team.
• Adaptability to startup pace and change.
