Software Engineer (Workday Integration Engineer)

Location: Hybrid in St. Paul, Minnesota; Atlanta, Georgia; Richardson, Texas; or Hartford, Connecticut. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Salary: $101,600–$167,600 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Design and implement Workday integrations based on user and system specifications.
• Analyze, test, debug, troubleshoot, document, and monitor integration health and alerts.
• Assess and resolve intermediate-complexity defects and incidents, escalating when appropriate.
• Identify technology improvements that increase business efficiency and apply current engineering practices.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, technical teams, business partners, and stakeholders to deliver HR technology solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and/or work experience.
• Three years of programming or development experience, plus two additional years of software engineering experience.
• At least two years of Workday experience building integrations with Report Writer and EIB.
• Hands-on experience supporting Workday Benefits, Payroll, Time, Absence, and Compensation.
• Experience contributing to Agile delivery across the full lifecycle of Workday implementations, enhancements, and support.
• Experience with testing, including unit, integration, and regression testing; change control; governance; documentation; and engineering best practices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Workday solutions and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work effectively with Workday engineers, configuration specialists, and cross-functional stakeholders while managing commitments, dependencies, status, and risks.

Nice to have

• Knowledge and experience with Workday Studio and Workday Extend.
• Interest in or exposure to AI-driven HR technology, including agentic workflows, intelligent automation, and generative AI integrations.
• Interest in mentoring newer teammates and continuously developing technical skills.
